Thank you to everyone who joined us at our first annual Santa Monica Animal Shelter Open House Fundraiser on June 4th and helped to make the event a success and a wonderful day!

Our 2022 Shelter Open House Fundraiser was a very fun afternoon to support animals and raise much needed funds for the Santa Monica Animal Shelter. The event was on Saturday, June 4th 2022, from 12-3pm. At the Santa Monica Animal Shelter 1640 9th St. Santa Monica, CA 90404.

Indigenous bird presentation from Michael Chill with Wild Wings of California Wild Bird Rehabilitation Organization.
Interact with cool reptiles from Allan’s Aquarium/Allan’s Pet Center.
Meet the Santa Monica Police Department Mounted Unit.

All funds raised helped the Santa Monica Animal Shelter and made a difference in the care and well-being of the animals.

We are extremely grateful to everyone who supported us at our fundraiser by volunteering and donating their time and skills to provide activities and entertainment to ensure that this was a successful event and a very fun day.

The following were all part of our Raffle:

Arthur Murray Dance Center, Santa Monica-Gift Certificate good for two private lessons, groups & parties included, worth approx.$300. Coral Tree Cafe- 2 $25 gift certificates. Fritto Misto-2 gift certificates each for two lunch specials. Larsen’s Restaurants-5 $50 gift certificates. Merrihew’s Sunset Gardens Nursery-$50 gift certificate. Pacific Park-4 unlimited ride passes for Pacific Park at the Santa Monica Pier, valued at $180. SketchPup by Kellin- Custom digital pet portrait by pet portrait artist Kellin Esquivel valued at $75. Kellin is the wonderful artist who created and donated our amazing logo. Yoga-urt-$50 gift certificate.

Buon Gusto Farms-Gift basket filled with $70 of Buon Gusto Farms products. Peet’s Coffee, Montana Ave. location-Gift basket filled with $100 of Peet’s Coffee gifts and goods. Santa Monica Police Department- Gift basket filled with challenge coins and a certificate for a private tour of the jail. The Gift Basket LA-Curated Gift Basket filled with $200 of gourmet delicacies.

The following were part of our Silent Auction

Learning Experience with the Santa Monica Police Forensics Department-A very unique opportunity to spend ½ day (4 -6 hours) in the laboratory with Forensics.

Santa Monica Harbor Patrol Boat Ride Experience-There were two chances to win the wonderful opportunity to ride on a Harbor Patrol rescue boat and see Santa Monica in a new way.

All raffle and silent auction prizes were generously donated. We are so very thankful to everyone who donated for their support and generosity!
